King’s swimming success at the Chester & District Galas

King’s swimmers have had a great few weeks at the annual Chester & District swimming galas.  These events run every Monday through the start of Lent term, starting with the seniors and working down to the Removes (Rm), the final event.

King’s swimmers acquitted themselves tremendously, winning the events at Yr 7 (Rm) (both girls and boys), Yr 8 girls, Yr 9 boys and Senior boys’ levels. In addition to winning 5 out of the 8 galas King’s had several individual winners, all of whom are mentioned below, with the most notable being Isobel Wild (RmGA), Sam Wild (3AI) and Lloyd Stanley (L6BH), all of whom set new Championship records, along with the Rm girls freestyle relay team (Isobel Wild, Jess Lee (RmIR), Natasha Groome (RmGA), Amelia Standing (RmJW) ).

However, as so often happens in these events, it was King’s ability to score consistent points which was a key factor in much of their success, so well done to all who represented the school over the past few weeks.
